CHAMELEON™

OVERVIEW

Chameleon™ uniquely combines a high-pressure balloon catheter with Supervision™ technology – an integrated injection modality that provides targeted injection of diagnostic fluids (such as contrast media) or therapeutic fluids (in the US only).

Chameleon™ is intended for use in PTA of the peripheral vasculature, including the femoral, iliac, and renal arteries and for the treatment of obstructive lesions of native or synthetic AV access sites. It allows physicians to visualize by injecting through the catheter, whether the balloon is inflated or deflated, all while maintaining wire position.

SUPERVISION™

TECHNOLOGY

SupervisionTM is a proximal injection technology enabling simultaneous catheter based interventions and injection of diagnostic or therapeutic fluids in one device, eliminating multiple exchanges and promoting overall efficiency.

SupervisionTM technology is designed for a variety of catheter-based procedures and is now available on AV Medical’s flagship product for dialysis access maintenance – The ChameleonTM balloon catheter. SupervisionTM features result in ChameleonTM being the ONLY balloon catheter that provides simultaneous balloon inflation and injection of fluids while maintaining wire position.

The SupervisionTM injection modality comprises a port for injection fluids and a targeted exit port situated just proximal to the balloon. These unique features allow operators to potentially increase their distance from the radiation source, thus reducing radiation exposure. For Imaging procedures, precise delivery of contrast media can potentially reduce the amount of contrast media needed during the procedure.

CLINICAL INFORMATION

OVERVIEW

ChameleonTM has been used successfully in several types of dialysis access procedures. The SupervisionTM feature has been shown to provide more efficient procedures with enhanced visibility.

AV MEDICAL

ABOUT US

AV Medical Technologies Ltd, a privately held medical device company headquartered in Israel, is dedicated to the development of advanced and efficient solutions in catheter-based interventions. The company is now focusing on its flagship catheter, the ChameleonTM, targeted for dialysis patients undergoing routine angioplasty procedures.

Over 3.7M patients worldwide suffer from irreversible kidney failure or end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and need dialysis or a kidney transplant to survive. Most patients on dialysis require angioplasty by balloon catheter to maintain adequate blood flow to their access site. AV Medical develops and commercializes the ChameleonTM PTA balloon catheter with SupervisionTM technology as an answer to this market’s growing needs. ChameleonTM provides more efficient angioplasty procedures that can potentially enhance both patient and operator safety.

ChameleonTM has been clinically tested in various types of dialysis access procedures.
